Steel City Safari is a three-day NRL Hunter match built for hunters who shoot. The field is hunters and precision rifle competitors, seasoned and new. They find, range, and engage steel from field positions on a course that moves them across the property. The 2026 match sold out in nine hours.
Sponsoring puts your name in front of that field all weekend: on a trophy, a stage, the match t-shirt, the pre-match email to every shooter, and the banner wall at check-in. Between @steelcityprecision and @veracitysolutions, match posts reach more than 6,000 Instagram followers, and NRL Hunter's 44,000 see the series posts on top of that. Free entries at the higher levels put your people on the line too.
The range
Steel City Precision sits on 660 acres of hills and valleys in West Blocton, Alabama, inside 30,000 acres of timberland, about an hour from Birmingham and 35 minutes from Tuscaloosa. The course runs about two miles. In 2026 targets sat from 160 to 1,000 yards in tall grass, partial timber, and heavy brush. Steel City Precision also designs the S3AT steel target.
Who runs it
Just over 20 years in uniform, 11 in the Marine Corps and 8 in the Army. Instructed for the Marine Corps Shooting Team and the Army Marksmanship Unit. Competes in NRL Hunter and other precision rifle matches. 2027 is his sixth year directing NRL Hunter matches and his fourth at Steel City Precision. He has also directed the Mammoth Sniper Challenge. Runs Veracity Solutions.
More than 20 years as a competitor and match director. Started competing to stay sharp as a police officer in upstate New York, then served in the Marine Corps with a deployment to Afghanistan. Shot 3-gun and USPSA before moving to precision rifle only, and prefers field-style team matches. Runs Steel City Precision.

How do I pay?
Send the form and the level is reserved. Pick Invoice me and an invoice comes from matches@veracitysolutionsllc.com, or pick Pay by card now and finish on Stripe right away.
What banner should I send?
Send a banner you already use at matches. There is no size limit. Have it here by Jan 22, 2027.
How do FFL shipments work?
Coordinate well in advance. Certificates in lieu of firearms are appreciated.
Are there vendor tables?
Yes. Free tables in the vendor area. Tell us if you are coming.
Terms
- Sending the form is a commitment to the level you picked. An invoice comes from matches@veracitysolutionsllc.com, or you can pay by card on Stripe at the last step.
- A division or category level is held for you once the form is sent. Trophy logos are due Jan 8, 2027 so the trophies can be made.
- Banners, promo material, and swag are due Jan 22, 2027. A banner comes back to you after the match only if you ask for it on the form.
- Free entries go to people you name. Send the shooters' names to matches@veracitysolutionsllc.com before the match.
- If weather cancels, the match is moved to a new date and sponsorships carry over to it.
