Long Range Rifle 1 – Merced, CA (Oct 6-7 2024)

Description

This 2-day Long Range Rifle course will cover fundamental requirements to engage targets effectively from 100-1000 yards and beyond with your precision rifle. Topics covered but not limited to; weapons handling, cleaning, rifle setup and fit, ballistics, ballistic solvers, zeroing, intro to wind, and intro to positional shooting techniques. This course will be hosted on a private range near Merced, CA Oct 6-7 2024. Your payment includes an $80 range fee.

What to bring: Required

·       Precision rifle (Bolt or Gas) with 2 magazines and a 100 yard /100 meter zero (1 MOA or better recommended)
·       Magnified optic (12x or higher with MIL reticle)
·       Bipod
·       Support bag (Gamechanger, Fortune Cookie, sand sock, etc)
·       200 rounds of match ammunition –  (No AP/Steel core – Recommended FGMM, Hornady Match, Berger, Handloads etc)
·       Note taking gear (pen, pencil, notepad, rite in the rain notebook etc)
·       Ballistic Solver (Kestrel, iOS/Android App ie Hornady 4DOF, Shooter, Applied Ballsitics etc)
·       Eye/Hearing Protection
·       Food/Water
·       Weapon lubricant

What to bring: Recommended

·       Rifle cleaning gear (cleaning rod, boreguide, brushes, patches etc)
·       Tools (Torque wrench with bits that fit weapon system)
·       Magazine carriers
·       Sling (2-point)
·       Range bag
·       Shooting mat
·       Rain Clothing
·       Chair, Stool, Sitting pad

·       Tripod
·       Spotting Scope or Binoculars
·       Chronograph
·       Laser range finder (800 yard or farther capability)
·       Kneepads
